Mubasher: Oman’s MSM 30 index declined at Tueday’s close by 0.35% or 19.27 points to the level of 5,439.18 points.
Trading volume increased to 9.82 million shares from 6.63 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also rose to OMR 2.15 million from OMR 1.14 million.
The financial sector dropped 0.41%, dragged by a fall of Takaful Oman Insurance, 1.82% in Al Anwar Holdings and 0.49% in Bank Muscat. The latter made the highest activity with a volume of 2.32 million shares exchanged at OMR 941,800.
The industrial sector shrank 0.34% as Al Anwar Ceramics; down 3.64% was the worst performing stock and Galfar Engineering slid 2.11%.
The services sector decreased 0.04% due to a 3.64% decline in Port Services Corp and a 0.63% fall in Omantel, while Al Jazeira Services, up 5.29%, was the best performing stock.
