Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Tuesday’s trading in red, as the benchmark MSM 30 dropped 0.61% or 33.14 points to the level of 5,363.22 points.
The Sharia index also fell 0.28% or 2.3 points to 832.21 points.
Trading volume reached 12.29 million shares exchanged through 841 trades worth OMR 3.09 million ($8.024 million).
The financial, services and industrial sectors declined 0.62%, 0.46% and 0.14% respectively.
Phoenix Power was the best performing share after adding 0.69%, while Omantel topped decliners with a fall of 2.19%.
Bank Muscat was the most active share as 2.94 million shares were traded at OMR 1.2 million ($3.11 million).
MSM 30 and the Sharia index slid yesterday by 0.19% and 0.24% respectively.
