Mubasher: The Muscat’s benchmark index, MSM 30, opened Thursday in red, as it dropped 0.10% or 5.65 points to the level of 5,438.74 points in early trading.
Trading volume reached 12.28 million shares worth OMR 4.37 million through 285 trades.
The financial and industrial sectors declined 0.44% and 0.18% respectively, while services rose 0.07%.
Early trading saw 27 traded shares, of which four moved higher, 10 shrank and the 13 remaining were flat.
Oman Investments topped the gainers with a growth of 5.29%, whereas Oman National Engineering and Investment made the deepest loss with 9.80%.
MSM 30 closed yesterday with a rise of 0.28% or 15.04 points to 5,444.39 points.
