Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market rose at Wednesday’s open by 0.17% or 9.55 points to the level of 5,746.8 points.
Trading volume reached 4.87 million shares exchanged through 244 transactions, making a turnover of OMR 490,470.
By 11:00am Muscat time, the industrial sector grew 0.3% due to an increase of 7.59% in Oman Fisheries to OMR 0.086, its highest level since September 2014. The stock led the trading activity with a volume of 2.18 million shares and a turnover of OMR 185,230.
The financial sector levelled up 0.25% as Al Madina Takaful rose 4% to OMR 0.08, the stock’s highest level since mid-April 2016.
The services sector ascended 0.16%, backed by a 1.94% rise in Ooredoo Oman.
