Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) kicked off Thursday in the green area, supported by the upward trend of its main sectors.
The benchmark MSM 30 jumped 0.78% or 41.7 points to the level of 5,402.4 points.
Trading volume reached 7.2 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.046 million through 455 transactions.
The financial, industrial and services sectors edged up 1.21%, 0.53% and 0.45% respectively.
While the minus column was empty, 18 shares hit the green and six others were flat.
Oman United Insurance topped gainers by adding 10%.
MSM 30 closed yesterday on a negative note due to falls in the financial and industrial sectors.
