Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market, on Wednesday, rose in early trading by 0.1% or 5.65 points to the level of 5,660.39 points.
Trading volume amounted to 3.16 million exchanged at OMR 671,140 through 227 transactions.
By 11:00am Muscat time, the industrial sector levelled up 1.07%, backed by a rise of 7.29% in Galfar Engineering, the stock made the biggest activity as 173,720 shares were exchanged at OMR 1.69 million. Al Jazeera Steel Products also leapt 3.27%.
The services sector ascended 0.09%, supported by an increase of 1.28% in Port Services Corp.
Meanwhile, the financial sector shrank 0.16% as Bank Nizwa and Gulf Investment Services declined by 1.22% and 0.86% respectively.
