Trading volume decreased this month by 41.38% to 422.69 million shares from 721.02 million shares exchanged in April.
Turnover fell 17.53% to OMR 103.83 million, compared to OMR 125.91 million in April.
The market capitalisation stood at OMR 17.03 billion.
Oman Hotels & Tourism topped gainers by adding 155.6%, while HSBC Oman led decliners with a 16.94% fall.
Ominvest made the highest liquidity of OMR 11.4 million, whereas Galfar Engineering was the most traded stock with a volume of 74.03 million shares.
Purchases by non-Omani traders reached 15 million, while their sales came to OMR 21 million.
