Mubasher: The main index of Muscat Securities Market, MSM 30, closed Sunday’s session with a growth of 0.03% or 1.78 point to the level of 5,971.96 points.
Meanwhile, the Shariah index declined 0.09% or 0.78 point to 887.96 points.
Trading volume decreased 54% to 12.67 million shares from 27.54 million shares exchanged on Thursday. Turnover also shrank by 31.21% to OMR 3.56 million from OMR 5.18 million.
The services and industrial sectors rose 0.56% and 0.35% respectively, while the financial fell 0.13%.
Oman Hotels and Tourism Company topped gainers by adding 49.83%, while Oman United Insurance led decliners after dropping 2.62%.
Raysut Cement made the highest liquidity with OMR 450,460, while Al Jazeera Steel was he largest-traded stock with a volume of 2.01 million shares.
MSM 30 rose on Thursday by 0.35% or 20.9 points to 5,969.47 points.
