Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market increased at Wednesday’s close by 0.12% or 6.39 points to the level of 5,487.68 points.
Trading volume increased 67.28 million shares from 12.43 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose to OMR 19.72 million from OMR 3.35 million.
Ten stocks closed in green, 12 others declined and 27 stocks stood at the same rates.
The financial sector leapt 0.34% as Bank Dhofar led the green list by adding 1.85% and National Bank of Oman advanced 0.87%.
On the flipside, the industrial sector shrank 0.13% due to a 3.39% fall in Al Hassan Engineering, the worst performing stock, and 3.13% in Construction Materials Industry.
The services sector dropped 0.13% as Ooredoo Oman declined 1.29%.
