Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) rose on Tuesday by 0.13% or 7.08 points to 5,569.96 points.
Meanwhile, the Shariah index declined 0.11% or 0.93 point to 846.1 points.
Trading volume reached 29.62 million shares exchanged at OMR 4.81 million ($12.49 million) through 1,380 trades.
The services sector rose 0.18%, backed by an increase of 3.03% and 2.63% in Oman Investment and Finance and Port Services Corp respectively.
The industrial sector fell 0.2% as Al Hassan Engineering shrank 6.67%.
The financial sector also declined by 0.03% as Global Finance Investment dropped 9.47%, topping today’s losers.
Gulf Investment Services Holding was the best performing share after adding 4.72%.
Bank Sohar was the most active share with a trading volume of 5.68 million shares exchanged at OMR 907,490 ($2.36 million).
MSM 30 rose yesterday 1.35% or 73.95 points to 5.562.88 points.
