Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Wednesday in the green zone as the benchmark MSM 30 rose 0.36% or 20.71 points to 5,749.43 points.
The Shariah index also advanced 0.45% or 35.52 points to 864.7 points.
Trading volume reached 20.64 million through 790 trades worth OMR 2.75 million ($7.14 million).
Oman Fisheries was the best performing stock after adding 9.84% to OMR 0.067 ($0.17), the highest level since early March.
Meanwhile, Al Sharqiya Investment Holding topped losers after falling 0.23% to OMR 0.117 ($0.30).
Bank Sohar was the most active stock with a trading volume of 2.99 million shares exchanged at OMR 508,990 ($1.3 million).
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.13% or 7.24 points to the level of 5,688.47 points.
