Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market opened Wednesday’s session rising by 0.2% or 11.06 points to the level of 5,493.04 points.
By 11:30am Muscat time, trading volume reached 4.8 million shares exchanged at OMR 803,800 through 271 transactions.
The market’s sector rose collectively, topped by the financial sector with a growth of 0.53% backed by the increase in Al Sharqiya Investment, Al Anwar Holdings and Bank Nizwa by 3.25%, 3.03% and 0.88% respectively.
The industrial sector leapt 0.12% as Al Hassan Engineering, up 7.55%, led the green list and Construction Material Industry advanced 3.23%, while Al Jazeera Steel Products, down 0.88%, was the worst performing stock.
The services sector rose 0.02%.
