Mubasher: The general index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) gained 0.25% or 14.4 points to reach 5,805.52 points in Thursday’s early trades.
The market saw trading of 6.16 million shares through 286 transactions, generating OMR 1.11 million by 11:00am Muscat time.
The services sector rose 0.34% as Ooredoo topped gainers with a 2.1% increase. The industrial sector also added 0.12% as Oman Fisheries climbed 1.75%.
On the flipside, the financial sector fell 0.06% as Bank Nizwa and Al Madina Takaful Co sank 1.1% and 1.01%, respectively.
Oman Fisheries was the most active stock after trading 2.34 million shares, with a turnover of OMR 406,400.
