Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Thursday in the green zone as the benchmark added 5.57 points, or 0.1%, to 5,416.35 points.
At 11:15am Oman time, MSM Shariah Index moved up 0.12% to 838.3 points.
Trading volume registered 5.03 million shares traded over 182 transactions at a turnover of OMR 773,710.
The sectors of services and financial rose by 0.33% and 0.07% respectively, while the industrial fell by 0.08%.
Tracking stock movement, port services corp led the advancers by 5.14%, while educational holding group headed the decliners by 1.87%.
With 1.75 million shares having changed hands, education holding group was the most active stock by volume at a turnover of OMR 274,210.
Yesterday, the Omani bourse closed the session lower 0.09% to 5410.78 points.
