Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market MSM30 ended Tuesday’s trading session down 0.72%, losing 40.78 points, and closing at the level of 5,629.93 points.
The services sector went down by 1.15%, as Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing and Ooredoo led the session’s gainers and dropped 7.03%, and 6.8% respectively, while Sembcorp Salalah Power and Water lost 0.82%.
Sembcorp Salalah was the most active in today’s trade with a volume of 27.3 million shares, and a turnover of OMR 6.63 million.
Both the financial and the industry sector indices decreased by 0.2%, as Oman and Emirates Investment, HSBC, and Bank Muscat declined by 2.27%, 1.54%, 1.52%, while Al Jazeera Steel, and Gulf Chemicals fell 4.35% and 1.03% respectively.
Traded volumes increased to 39.93 million shares compared to 12.78 million shares yesterday.
Traded values reached OMR 9.9 million up from OMR 4.15 million on Monday.
