Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday’s trading session in red, as the main index MSM30 went down 0.44%, losing 25.39 points, and closed at the level of 5,715.82 points.
The financial sector lost 0.55% as Bank Muscat, and Al Batinah Development and Investment both declined by 2.22%. The sector’s losses were offset by Oman and Emirates, which gained 4.6%.
The services slipped 0.29%, as Oman National Engineering and Investment led the session’s decliners and dropped 9.26%, while Sohar Power and Renaissance Services fell by 2.71% and 2.42% respectively.
On the other hand, the industry sector index saw a marginal gain, edging up 0.01%, as Voltamp Energy, Oman Textile, and Oman Cement added 1.5%, 1.06%, and 0.82%.
Traded volumes increased to 27.82 million shares compared to 17.33 million shares yesterday. Similarly, traded values reached OMR 7.38 million up from OMR 5.44 million on Sunday.
