Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Sunday’s trading session in red, as the main index MSM30 went down by 0.87/%, losing 50.54 points, and closed at the level of 5,741.21.
The benchmark index was dragged down by blue chip stocks, as Oman and Emirates Investment, Bank Muscat, and Bank Sohar declined by 5.76%, 3.85%, and 1.94%.
The financial sector decreased by 1.1%, as Taageer Finance, and Bank Dhofar plumped 6.67%, and 1.59% respectively.
The industry sector index also fell by 0.56%, as Oman Textile led the session’s decliners and dropped 10%, while Asaffa Foods, Oman Fisheries lost 9.89%, and 2.67% respectively, despite that Voltamp Energy was the today’s top gainer and edged up 0.74%.
Similarly, the services sector slipped 0.07%, as Al Jazeira Services decreased by 1.02%.
Traded volumes went up to 17.33 million shares up from 11.33 million shares on yesterday’s session, while traded values increased to OMR 5.44 million compared to OMR 2.77 million on Thursday.
