Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday in the red zone after losing 0.32% or 16.88 points, reaching 5,314.19 points.
The services sector shed 0.6% as Phoenix Power retreated 4.14%, followed by Suwadi Power with 3.23%, and Ooredoo with 0.85%.
The industry sector dropped 0.55% after Oman Cement declined 1.75% and Galfar Engineering and Contracting tumbled 1.27%.
The financial sector increased 0.12% as Al Sharqiya Investment Holding and Al Madina Takaful levelled up 1.82% and 1.74%, respectively.
Trading volume grew to 12.42 million shares on Monday against 8.18 million shares on Sunday, while trading value rose to OMR 2.38 million from OMR 1.75 million.
