Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) shed 0.34% or 19.3 points to 5,578.96 points in Monday’s closing.
The financial and services sectors weighed the main index down.
The financial sector lost 0.28% as Oman and Emirates Investment Holding tumbled 6.2% and Taageer Finance levelled down 4.5%.
Services edged down 0.2% affected by National Gas which shed 1.82% and Ooredoo which dropped 1.5%.
On the other hand, industry rose 0.19% as Oman Fisheries gained 4.11% and Al Jazeera Steel Products edged up 1.27%, while Dhofar Cattle Feed lost 9.72%.
The traded volume increased to 12.62 million shares on Monday against 10.29 million on Sunday, while trading value dropped to less than OMR 2.57 million against OMR 2.86 million.
