Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Thursday in the red zone, after decreasing 0.99% or 52.3 points, reaching 5,248.41 points.
The services sector declined 1.32% as Al Batinah Power retreated 7.41% and Sembcorp Salalah Power and Water Company dropped 3.77%.
The financial sector tumbled 0.85% after Gulf Investment Services Holding and Oman United Insurance levelled down 4.49% and 2.35%, respectively.
The industry sector went up 0.13% as Voltamp Energy surged 5.88% and Al Jazeera Steel Products increased 2.12%.
Trading volume rose to 10.93 million shares on Thursday against 8.33 million shares on Wednesday, while liquidity levelled up to OMR 1.97 million from OMR 1.63 million.
