Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a positive performance on Sunday, backed by the financial and and services sectors.
The general index added 0.22% or 12.43 points to reach 5,763.38 points.
The financial sector gained 0.31% as Bank Dhofar and Bank Sohar grew 1.59% and 1.27% respectively. In addition, the services sector increased 0.02%.
On the flipside, the industrial sector lost 0.54% after Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles retreated 2.53%, offsetting the rise ofAl Hassan Engineering topped gainers with a 2.08% rise.
Trading volume reached 7.86 million shares on Sunday, compared to 24.22 million shares last Thursday. Turnover amounted to OMR 1.66 million, compared to OMR 4.68 million.
