Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) inched up 0.04% or 1.86 points to reach 5,121.38 points in the week ended on Thursday, 13 July, against 5,119.52 points in the previous week.
On a weekly basis, MSM’s market capitalisation decreased 0.32% or OMR 56.3 million to reach OMR 17.57 billion, against OMR 17.62 billion.
Oman National Engineering and Investment topped risers with 23.02%, followed by Oman Telecommunications (Omantel) with 4.8%, and Oman Qatari Telecommunications (Ooredoo) with 3.98%.
On the other hand, National Securities stock slid 18.37%, Oman Fisheries declined 15.44%, and Al Suwadi Power retreated 10%.
The industry sector, the financial sector, and the services sector levelled down 2.98%, 0.85%, and 0.78%, respectively.
Trading volume increased 7.91% to reach 50.14 million shares, against 46.46 million shares in the week earlier, while traded value rose 2.72% to OMR 10.13 million, against OMR 9.86 million.
