The market declined 0.70% or 38.17 points to reach 5,406.22 points; the lowest level in 10 sessions.
Shariah index decreased 0.65% to 855.36 points.
Turnover plunged 74.2% to OMR 14.54 million on Thursday, compared to OMR 56.25 million on Wednesday. Trading volume decreased 76.4% to 44.57 million shares from 189 million shares.
The services sector declined 0.68%, followed by the financial and industrial sectors at 0.64% and 0.56%, respectively.
Oman National Engineering and Investment was the worst performer after falling 9.8%, while Oman Agriculture Development Co. topped gainers after adding 5.9%.
