Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Exchange (MSM) shed 0.17% or 9.84 points, reaching 5,670.7 points at the end of Monday's trading session.
The financial sector fell 0.2%, on the back of Bank Muscat which topped the worst performers and decreased 5.71%, followed by Al Sharqiya Investment Holding SAOG which retreated 3.25%.
The services sector lost 0.22%, weighted by Muscat Gases which declined 4.78%.
Meanwhile, the industrial segment was the only gainer with 0.22%, backed by Oman Cement which rose 0.8%.
Trading value increased to OMR 4.51 million as trading volume grew to 12.78 million shares.
Al Batinah Power was the most active in terms of traded volume with 1.97 million shares, while Oman Telecommunications was in terms of turnover with OMR 575,010.
