Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) edged down 0.07% or 4.01 points reaching 5,416.47 points at the closing of Monday’s trading session.
The index was affected by a drop in the leading stocks as Sembcorp Salalah Power and Water Company, Al Sharqiya Investment Holding, and the National Bank of Oman (NBO) lost 2.08%, 1.71%, and 0.88%, respectively.
MSM was down on an all-sector decline, led by services after Oman National Engineering and Investment dropped 3.42% and Al Jazeira Services decreased 1.85%.
The financial sector inched down 0.07% as Al Madina Investment Company and Bank Muscat went down 1.52% and 0.5%, respectively.
On the other hand, Oman ORIX Leasing surged 9.24%.
The industry sector shed 0.01% after Oman Flour Mills tumbled 0.43%.
Traded volume dropped to 6.3 million shares on Monday against 6.78 million shares on Sunday, while trading value declined to OMR 1.31 million from OMR 1.51 million.
