Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Thursday in the green zone after gaining 0.25% or 13.47 points to reach 5,435.41 points.
Trading volume reached 23.18 million shares, with a turnover of OMR 3.16 million, through 894 transactions.
The financial sector rose 0.63% as Financial Services soared 80%.
The industry sector went up 0.37% after Oman Fisheries grew 4.05%.
On the other hand, the services sector dropped 0.44% as Phoenix Power and Ooredoo declined 4.3% and 0.4%, respectively.
Bank Nizwa led in terms of trading volume with 7.02 million shares exchanged, at a turnover of OMR 691,260, rising 3.16%.
Earlier on Thursday, the main index increased 0.04% or 2.01 points, reaching 5,423.96 points.
