MSM ends Tuesday in green; all sectors up

Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Tuesday in the green zone, growing 0.11% or 6.2 points to reach 5,411.93 points.

Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles Company, HSBC Oman, and Oman Investment and Finance gained 2.11%, 1.54%, and 1.52%, respectively.

The financial sector went up 0.25% as Alizz Islamic Bank increased 2.3%, followed by Al Batinah Development and Investment Holding with 2.17%, and Gulf Investment Services Holding with 1.11%.

The industry sector levelled up 0.2% after Galfar Engineering and Contracting and Oman Fisheries rose 1.23% and 0.67%, respectively.

The services sector inched up 0.01% as Acwa Power Barka surged 4.71% and Oman Telecommunications (Omantel) grew 0.41%.

On the other hand, Oman National Engineering and Investment and Al Batinah Power decreased 4% and 1.74%, respectively.

Trading volume increased to 18.5 million shares on Tuesday against 11.41 million shares on Monday, while trading value rose to OMR 2.68 million from OMR 2.27 million.
