Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Tuesday in the green zone, after increasing 0.18% or 9.1 points, reaching 5,097.59 points.
The services sector rose 0.18% as Oman Telecommunications (Omantel) and Phoenix Power grew 0.90% and 0.85%, respectively.
On the flipside, the industry sector shed 0.41% after Al Maha Ceramics retreated 4.91%, followed by Oman Fisheries with 1.4%, whereas Raysut Cement Company levelled up 1.31%.
The financial sector tumbled 0.2% as Gulf Investment Services Holding and Al Madina Investment Co went down 4.76% and 2.9%, respectively.
Trading volume dropped to 8.16 million shares on Tuesday against 9.4 million shares on Monday, while liquidity fell to OMR 1.68 million from OMR 2.88 million.
Oman Qatari Telecommunications’ (Ooredoo Oman) stock led in terms of traded volume with 1.32 million shares exchanged at a turnover of OMR 595,850, rising 0.44%.
