Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) main index closed Wednesday near stable after slipping 0.02% or 0.96 points, reaching 5,170.23 points.
The industry sector shed 0.58% as National Aluminum Products and Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles Company stocks decreased 5.7% and 3.85%, respectively.
The services sector fell 0.41% after Al Suwadi Power retreated 4.71%, whereas Oman National Engineering and Investment grew 6.08%.
On the other hand, the financial sector inched up 0.02% as Bank Sohar and Oman and Emirates Investment Holding increased 1.37% and 0.95%, respectively, whereas United Finance slid 8.75%.
Trading volume rose to 12.05 million shares on Wednesday against 9.23 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity increased to OMR 2.48 million from OMR 2.29 million.
