Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday in the red zone, after losing 0.55% or 28.33 points to reach 5,088.5 points.
The financial sector shed 0.62% as Ahli Bank and Alizz Islamic Bank decreased 2.94% and 2.41%, respectively, whereas Al Batinah Development and Investment Holding rose 2.17%.
The industry sector fell 0.53% after Oman Fisheries went down 3.38% and Al Anwar Holdings tumbled 1.52%.
The services sector declined 0.21% after National Gas Company and Oman Telecommunications (Omantel) levelled down 2.63% and 1.76%, respectively.
Trading volume rose to 9.4 million shares on Monday against 4.72 million shares on Sunday, while liquidity increased to OMR 2.88 million from OMR 807,220.
