Mubasher: The main index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) levelled down by 0.9% or 49.51 points to reach 5,475.92 points by the week ended on 4 May when compared to the past week.
Both the services and financial sectors fell by 0.62% and 0.37%, respectively, dragging the market’s performance; meanwhile, the services segment edged up 0.03%.
United Finance led the losers this week with a decline of 6.43%, while Oman and Emirates Investment was the top winner with a leap of 13.91%.
MSM’s liquidity grew by 17.52% to total OMR 14.28 million this week from OMR 12.15 million, and the trading volume increased by 32.29% to 76.13 million shares from 57.55 million a week ago.
The market cap lost 0.03% this week to total OMR 17.89 billion.
