Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a negative performance on Monday.
The main index fell 1.24% or 69.96 points to reach 5,581.11 points.
The financial sector slid 1.36% as Bank Sohar and Bank Nizwa sank 9.55% and 3.61% respectively.
However, HSBC Oman, which rose 0.91%, was the most active stock after generating OMR 4.25 million from the exchange of 37.66 million shares.
Trading volume reached 47.52 million shares on Monday, compared to 18.97 million shares last Sunday. Turnover stood at OMR 6.54 million, compared to OMR 3.93 million.
