Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) rose this week on the back of the financial and services sectors.
Muscat30 added 1.1% or 63.31 points, reaching the level of 5,777.6 points by the week ended 8 September.
The finaincail sector led the rising sectors this week with 1.23%, followed by services at 0.63%, while the industrial sector slipped 0.05%.
Bank Sohar was the week’s biggest gainer by adding 6%, it also registered the highest turnover at OMR 1.25 million and the biggest traded volume at 7.12 million shares.
Total traded volume decreased 36.8% this week to 45.5 million shares, as traded value also declined 19.9% to OMR 11.12 million.
The market cap rose 0.47% to OMR 17.28 billion ($44.73 billion).
