Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Sunday in the green, edging up 0.09% or 5.34 points to close at 5,948.07 points, on the back of banking and service stocks.
Turnover fell to OMR 4.24 million compared to OMR 7.38 million in the previous session, while traded volume was down to 22.89 million shares on Sunday, against 35.04 million on Thursday.
The banking sector added 0.04% as Al Sharqiya Investment Holding (SIHC) topped gainers, rising 3.76%, while Ahli Bank grew 2.76%.
The services sector increased 0.18% backed by Galfar Engineering and Contracting, Al Batinah Power and Al Suwadi Power, which gained 1.69%, 0.95% and 0.93%, respectively. The industrial sector grew 0.25%.
Galfar Engineering’s share was the most active in terms of volume and traded value reaching 9.41 million shares and OMR 1.12 million, respectively.
