Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a negative performance on Sunday, reaching the lowest level since 16 December 2015 amid low trading.
The general index declined 0.66% or 36.22 points to reach 5,414.99 points. Shariah index fell 0.46% to reach 858.56 points.
Turnover reached OMR 1.67 million after 9.6 million shares were traded through 430 transactions.
Al Hassan Engineering was the worst performer after falling 6.67%, followed by Oman Investment and Finance and Bank Nizwa at 6.67%, 4.27% and 4.05%, respectively.
Bank Nizwa was the most active company after generating 1.78 million shares, while Al Anwar Holdings was the value leader after generating OMR 232,090.
