Mubasher: The financial sector drove the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) to the green zone in Tuesday’s early trading, as the main index, MSM 30, advanced 0.20% or 10.53 points to the level of 5,414.78 points.
Trading volume came to 3.05 million shares valued at OMR 630,980 through 176 trades.
The financial sector rose 0.19%, while the services and industrial sectors declined 0.17% and 0.04%, respectively.
Out of 24 companies saw trading, there were eight risers, three fallers and 13 flat.
Oman Investments was the best performer in early trading with a 2.44% increase, while Acwa Power Barka made the deepest loss with 9.85%.
MSM 30’s main index closed yesterday with a rise of 0.92% or about 49.3 points to 5,404.2 points, the highest level in five sessions.
