Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a negative performance on Sunday.
The main index fell 0.9% or 51.50 points to reach 5,674.70 points.
The market saw trading of 9.625 million shares through 465 transactions, with a turnover of OMR 2.69 million.
The financial sector led losers after falling 1.01% as National Bank of Oman (NBO), Bank Dhofar and Bank Sohar slid 2.94%, 2.65% and 2.34% respectively.
The services sector slid 0.73% as Phoenix Power, Oman Qatari Telecommunications (Ooredoo Oman) and Sembcorp Salalah Power went down 2.05%, 1.71% and 1.64% respectively.
The industrial sector retreated 0.24% after Al Hassan Engineering and Oman Fisheries decreased 4.17% and 3.13% respectively.
Bank Muscat was the value leader after generating OMR 439,061, while NBO was the most active stock with a trading volume of 1.286 million shares.
Gulf International Chemicals and Bank Muscat were the only gainers after rising 0.75% and 0.5% respectively.
