Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended 0.32% or 17.62 points lower, reaching 5,492.42 points on Wednesday.
The index was affected by a drop in the leading stocks as Oman and Emirates Investment Holding lost 5.76%, followed by Al Maha Ceramics Company which decreased 3.09%, and Galfar Engineering and Contracting which declined 2.44%.
The industry sector tumbled 0.56% after Al Hassan Engineering went down 3.7% and National Aluminum Products levelled down 1.86%.
The financial sector slips 0.34% as Dhofar Insurance and Takaful Oman Insurance dropped 2.91% and 2.86%, respectively.
The services sector shed 0.27% after Renaissance Services lost 1.83% and Al Batinah Power lost 1.15%.
Traded volume dropped to 17.43 million shares on Wednesday against 20.72 million on Tuesday, as trading value decreased to OMR 3.08 million against OMR 3.88 million shares.
