Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a negative performance in the week ended 3 November.
The main index fell 0.64% or 34.91 points to reach 5,462.14 points.
The financial and services sectors fell 0.83% and 0.10% respectively. On the flipside, the industry sector went up 0.44%.
Construction Material Industry retreated 3.45%, followed by Al Sharqiya Investment Holding which slid 3.42%.
On the other hand, Takaful Oman Insurance topped gainers after adding 11.54%, followed by Al Suwadi Power and Port Services Corporation which gained 4.32% and 4.26% respectively.
Trading volume grew 37.36% to 59.88 million shares this week from 43.59 million shares last week. Turnover went up 69% to OMR 16.47 million from OMR 9.74 million.
