Mubasher: The general index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) on Wednesday went up 0.03% or 1.47 points to 5,064.58 points.
The industrial sector increased 0.31%, led by Oman Fisheries, the top winner, with 4.46%, and National Aluminium Products with 1.37%.
The financial sector also ascended 0.09%, backed by a rise in Gulf Investment of 3% and Bank Muscat of 1.03%.
On the other hand, the services sector dropped 0.21% after a decline in six major stocks, as National Gas, Port Services, and Ooredoo slid 4.51%, 1.11%, and 0.9%, respectively.
Trading volume rose to 12.04 million shares versus 9.84 million shares on Tuesday, with trading value increasing to OMR 1.82 million from OMR 1.09 million.
