MSM opens 0.14% down

Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of Muscat Securities Market fell in Tuesday’s early trading by 0.14% or 7.95 points to the level of 5,830.6 points.

The financial sector was pressured by the fall in Gulf Investment Services Holding which topped losers with a decline of 4.55%, and made the highest trading activity with 3.1 million shares exchanged at OMR 325,500, representing about 32.3% of total liquidity.

The industrial sector also shrank 0.32% as Raysut Cement retreated 1.17%, while the services sector rose 0.46%, backed by an increase of 1.81% and 0.95% in Renaissance Services and Galfar Engineering respectively.

MSM 30 closed yesterday falling 0.88% to 8,838.56 points.
