Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Tuesday’s trading session in the green.
The general index rose 0.4% or 22.65 points to reach 5,718.97 points by 10:45am Muscat time.
The financial sector topped gainers with a 0.69% increase, spurred by HSBC which was the best performer after adding 2.63%. Al Anwar Holdings also increased 1.59%.
The industrial sector advanced 0.25% as Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles and Galfar Engineering and Contracting levelled up 1.74% and 0.97% respectively.
The services sector rose 0.09% as Ooredoo climbed 1.25%.
The market saw trading of 5.25 million shares through 297 transactions, with a turnover of OMR 1.78 million.
