Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Tuesday in the negative territory, as the benchmark MSM 30 slid 0.23% or 11.62 points to 4,954.19 points.
Trading volume reached 1.6 million shares worth OMR 506,050 after 106 trades were executed.
The financial and services sectors declined 0.41% and 0.12% respectively, while the industrial sector was flat.
National Bank of Oman (NBO) was the best performing share as it jumped 2.27%. NBO’s board recommended cash dividends at 17% of the share’s par value and bonus shares at 10%, or one share for every 10 shares.
Meanwhile, Al Anwar Holding was the worst decliner with a drop of 5.30%.
The main index rose yesterday by 0.49% or 24.06 points to the level of 4,965.81 points.
