Mubasher: The main index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) gained 1.13% or 62.75 points to reach 5,613.35 points by the week ended on 6 April when compared to the previous week.
The financial segment was the only gainer with a 3% rise, while both the services and industrial segments fell by 0.69% and 0.64%, respectively.
Al Madina Takaful was the top winner this week, rising by 15.48%.
Asaffa Foods led the losers during this week, with a plunge of 14.74%.
MSM’s trading value grew by 10.7% to total OMR 19.55 million this week from OMR 17.66 million a week ago.
The trading volume increased by 31.26% to total 103.46 million shares from 78.82 million in the previous week.
The market cap gained 0.29% to stand at OMR 17.7 billion during the week.
