The general index declined 0.64% or 31.58 points to reach 4,934.23 points.
Shariah index fell 0.52% to reach 801.99 points.
The market saw trading of 17.49 million shares through 484 transactions, with turnover of OMR 17.49 million.
The financial sector fell 0.72%, followed by the industrial and services sectors at 0.31% and 0.29%, respectively.
Port Services Corporation was the top gainer after adding 4.35%, while Al Anwar Holdings was the worst performer after declining 5.30%.
Al Batinah Power was the most active company after trading 10.53 million shares, generating OMR 2 million.
