Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday in the green zone, after increasing 0.47% or 23.95 points, reaching 5,158.83 points.
Oman Telecommunications (Omantel) and Gulf Investment Services Holding rose 3.03% and 2.47%, respectively.
The services sector grew 0.36% as Oman National Engineering and Investment led risers with 8.7% after its profits soared 544% in the second quarter of 2017, whereas Oman Investment and Finance Company (OIFC) lost 2.23%.
The financial sector gained 0.2% as United Finance levelled up 2.19% and the National Bank of Oman (NBO) went up 0.96%.
The industry sector increased 0.12% after Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles Company grew 1.56%.
Trading volume declined to 6.62 million shares on Monday against 7.64 million shares on Sunday, whereas liquidity rose to OMR 1.77 million from OMR 1.1 million.
