Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) saw a positive performance on Thursday.
The main index rose 0.04% or 2.23 points to reach 5,496.05 points.
The financial sector increased 0.06%, backed by Oman United Insurance Company which added 1.37%
On the other hand, the services sector fell 0.04% as Al Jazeira Services slid 2.6%. The industrial sector also decreased 0.02% after Al Anwar Ceramics Tiles retreated 1.83%.
The market saw trading of 8.39 million shares on Thursday, compared to 10.31 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover stood at OMR 1.74 million, compared to OMR 2.03 million.
