Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index, MSM 30, broke the level of 5,500 points on Thursday, as it declined 0.94% or 51.66 points to 5,541.21 points.
Sharia Index also dipped 0.55% to the level of 862.56 points.
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.63% or 34.37 points, reaching the level of 5,502.87 points.
Trading volume reached 6.72 million shares valued at OMR 2.63 million through 465 trades.
The bourse’s sectors fell collectively, as financial, services and industrial plummeted 1.03%, 0.62% and 0.48%, respectively.
The number of traded shares came to 39 shares, four of them moved higher, 22 others closed down and the 13 left were flat.
Sharqiyah Desalination topped the gainers with 1.93% higher, while Al Madina for Finance and Investment led the losers with 5.17% lower.
Al Suwadi Power was the heaviest traded stock with 966,500 shares exchanged, while Omantel topped the highest trading values with OMR 1.08 million.
