Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) benchmark index, MSM 30, closed Monday at 5,403.67 points after shrinking 0.21% or 11.32 points.
Sharia Index also plummeted 0.27% to 856.28 points.
Trading volume hit around 4.64 million shares worth about OMR 1.09 million through 349 trades.
Industrial and financial sectors fell 0.63% and 0.21% respectively, while the services rose 0.15%.
Today’s session saw 37 traded shares, 1 of them increased, 11 others decreased and the 19 left steadied at the same rates.
Bank Nizwa headed the risers after advancing 4.41%, whereas Gulf International Chemicals made the deepest loss with about 7.7% lower.
Phoenix Power Company made the biggest trading volume activity with about 847,600 shares, while Bank Muscat made the highest volume with OAR 232,200.
MSM 30 closed Sunday shrinking 0.66% or 36.22 points to 5,414.99 points.
