Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index, MSM 30, closed Tuesday at the level of 5,417.09 points after dropping by 0.08% or 4.12 points.
The Sharia Index, also, dipped 0.13% to the level of 858.38 points.
Trading value rose by 19.9% OMR 1.62 million versus OMR 1.35 million yesterday, and trading volume dropped by 35.68% to 4.95 million shares against 7.68 million shares exchanged on Monday. The market’s value inched down 0.01% to OMR 15.79 billion.
The financial, industrial, services sectors fell by 0.13%, 0.12% and 0.11%, respectively.
Non-Omani investors bought shares valued at OMR 810,000 and made sale transactions estimated at OMR 938,000.
Today’s best performer was Voltamp Energy with a growth of 1.4%, while the worst was Oman Investments with a decline of 2.9%.
Omantel hit the highest trading value with more than OMR 508,000, while Renaissance Services led in volume with about 1.5 million traded shares.
MSM 30 closed yesterday’s trading at 5,421.20 points after rising 0.15% or 8.32 points.
